As Tunu was exposed and chased out of the Mehra's house and Abhi and her best friend Alia breaking all ties with her, she reach out to her boyfriend Nikhil and instigate him to take revenge from Abhi by murdering Pragya and her twins. Nikhil enter Mehra mansion with the intention of killing Pragya and her twins but Kiara identify him, to save himself from being exposed, he changes his plan and kidnap Kiara instead.
Nikhil who had Kiara with him was chased by Pragya, Abhi and King although King has ulterior motive. The police also follow them.
Nikhil try to figure out an escape route. He take Kiara and run. Nikhil hold Kiara captive with a knife, Abhi, King, Pragya and police also reach there. The police surround him. Abhi beg him to leave Kiara. He tell him he will give him everything and also won’t file any case against him. However, Nikhil tell him that he snatched his love, Tanu from him.
Suddenly, Abhi take gun from the police and point it towards Nikhil. Pragya beg Abhi to leave the gun. King try to calm them down. Things go out of hand as Nikhil slip and falls in side the river with Kiara. The rescue team jump in the river but they could only find her shoe, this lead to Pragya fainting and the entire Mehra's family went into depression. Abhi takes Pragya home. Pragya gets a vision of Kiara and breaks into tears. She blames Abhi for Kiara’s death. Abhi try to make her understand that he too went to great lengths to save their daughter Kiara. Pragya accuse him that he is egoistic. She says that bringing Kiara back into the family was a big mistake. She tell him that he is not a good father. Unable to take anymore insult, Abhi tell Pragya that she is responsible for Kiara’s death. Seeing them fight, the entire family is in shock.
Unable to forgive each other, pragya decided to leave the city with her twin daughters but Abhi refused and ask her to leave the house alone without his daughters, seeing the heated arguement Disha ask them to take one daughter each and go their separate ways.
Now the question is, is Kiara really dead?, will Abhi and Pragya ever have their HAPPILY EVER AFTER with their complete families?
20 years later:
Pragya is settled in Hoshiarpur with her daughter Prachi, Beeji and Beeji's grand-daughter, Shahana who lives with Pragya and Prachi and affectionately calls Pragya as Maasi.
While Abhi is settled with his daughter Rhea who is taken care by a governess, Meera and has also moved to a new location. And to forget about Pragya Abhi stopped being a musician and venture into business and become a very successful Businessman.
The Mehras are now neighbors with the Kohlis, Vikram Kohli, who is Abhi's business partner and friend, his wife Pallavi, their two children Ranbir and Mishti, Vikram's mother, Daljeet Kohli.
Meanwhile Alia continue with her scheming against Purab and Disha, eventually she was successful.
Purab and Disha are now divorce due to the misunderstanding Alia created, to save Alia's honour Purab was asked to marry. Both Alia and Purab have a son together named Aryan.
In Hoshiarpur Prachi gets a scholarship to study in the same college where Rhea study in Delhi. Pragya though initially reluctant, however decide to send Prachi considering her future.
In Delhi, Prachi and Abhi meet several times and they develop a close bond with each other. While, the twins start their relationship on a bad note and Rhea start hating Prachi. She constantly plot against Prachi and land her in trouble several times.
One such incidents makes Pragya return to Delhi to save her daughter. Pragya, Prachi and Shahana, start staying in Sarita behen's house who lovingly calls Pragya as Anuradha (her daughter's name). This leads to a lot of confusion since everyone from Abhi's side calls Pragya as Anuradha (making Abhi also think that Prachi's mother's name is Anuradha), while Pragya never realizes who Abhi is as everyone calls him Mr. Mehra.
Though Abhi and Pragya meet in diverse occasions, they are unable to reconcile with each other due to several misunderstandings created by Priyanka and Alia.
In the college, Prachi and Ranbir instantly take a dislike for each other. While Rhea plan revenge on Prachi and puts forth a demand in front of Ranbir to break the heart of Prachi. Ranbir hesitantly agree but while trying to go forward with Rhea's plan, he eventually falls in love with Prachi, soon, Prachi too reciprocates Ranbirs love. Rhea realizing that she has lost Ranbir to Prachi, plan to kill Prachi, but her truth comes out in front of Pragya, Prachi, Ranbir, Sarita behen and Shahana. Ranbir breaks all ties with Rhea and propose to Prachi.
Rhea comes to know the truth that Pragya is her mother and Prachi her elder twin sister, but misunderstand Pragya becuase of Alia and her evil. Later, due to her misunderstanding and having lost Ranbir, Rhea decides to kill herself. This gives advantage for Alia to poison Kohli family and Abhi's mind against Prachi. Abhi misunderstand Prachi and vents out his anger on her not knowning Prachi is actually his daughter.
When, Pragya realize that Mr. Mehra humiliated her daughter. She goes to meet him. This bring Abhi and Pragya face to face with each other and realize the truth that Prachi and Rhea are their other twins, from whom they had separated twenty years earlier. However, Pragya prevent Abhi from disclosing the truth to Prachi. In a fit of rage, Abhi break all ties with Pragya, though still being madly in love with her. Meanwhile, Pallavi and Beeji plan for Ranbir and Rhea's engagement and set no stones turned to separate Prachi from Ranbir.
A love triangle is formed between Prachi, Rhea and Abhi's friend's son, Ranbir Kohli who is the college heartthrob. Prachi who is the replica of her mother Pragya who is sweet, caring and honest whereas Rhea turns out to be selfish, cunning like Aalia and was over pampered by her aunt Alia. Prachi and Ranbir get married. Pragya gets into an accident and is presumed to be dead by everyone and she has hatred for Abhi thinkinhg he caused her accident..
2 years later
Pragya survives and comes back from Australia with the intention of taking revenge from Abhi as she was tricked into thinking that Abhi was the one who tried to kill her by Tanu and Alia.
Prachi and Ranbir's happy married life continues as they live alone from their parents while Prachi is still hopeful to find her mother. while Rhea was living a ghetto and rugged live and become a drug addict. Sidthart is Ranbir's cousin whom the Kohli consider as their son since they cut ties with Ranbir. Sidthart travels to Bankolor for business and meant Rhea, he falls in love with her not knowing she was Prachi's twin sister, due to some misunderstanding they got married. Rhea on knowing that Sidthart is Ranbir's cousin vow to use him to seperate Prachi and Ranbir and get married and gets married him.
Abhi and Pragya clear their misunderstandings and reunite. They meet with an accident and are in a coma.
With the help of Aalia Rhea is able to create a rift betwwn PranBir. Ranbir and Rhea caught Sid and Prachi on the bed in a compromising way in hotel. Ranbir accuses Prachi of having extramarital affair with Siddharth due to a misunderstanding created by Rhea and they get separated, Prachi leave the Kohli's house.

Sid and Rhea are now divorced. Ranbir turns out to be a successful businessman whereas Sushma who is Pragya's mentor tries to console a heartbroken Prachi. Prachi decides to move on and focus on her career with Sushma's help but gets to know that she is pregnant with Ranbir's child.
However, Rhea and Ranbir get married illegally as Ranbir thinks Prachi has moved on. Prachi witnesses their wedding and decides to fight for her self-esteem. For this she returns back to the Kohli House to regain her right as Ranbir's legal wife and to throw Rhea out.
