Preeta while talking with the guests wonders why is Karan so angry even when she is wearing the dress that he gifted her, she decides to go and talk with him when Sonakshi stops her in the middle, asking how is this dress looking on her, Preeta replies she is looking really good and it feels the dress was made just for her, Karan wonders what has happened to Preeta, he decides to talk with her when Rishab coming from behind takes Karan away after greeting both Preeta and Sonakshi, happy Diwali. Sonakshi purposefully thanks Preeta for the gift, Karan turns back in shock before leaving.
Preeta asks what she is saying she did not gift her this dress, Sonakshi agrees saying she forgot about it, Preeta mentions what is the need to be sorry because mistakes can happen, Sonakshi then asks how this dress looks on her, Preeta mentions it is looking really pretty.
Rishab is walking with Karan when Pihu stopping her asks to come and see that she is going to burn the cracker when Rishab explains this not called a cracker but is a pencil, she can burn all that she wants but when someone is present with her, she can call her father or Dadu but if they don’t come then he can be with her, Pihu however exclaims she is not young but really clever but Rishab explains that he knows she is young, Karan also says the same so Pihu getting angry goes to Kritika explaining that they all are saying she is young, Kritika questions what is Pihu saying as she is thew most clever in the house, Pihu questions Rishab to see who replies that she indeed is the most clever person in the house, Preeta coming to Kritika requests her to not be so angry as she has not done anything wrong but herself has been wronged and she should try to move forward, Kritika apologizes saying that she did not listen to anyone when they tried to warn her about Prithvi, Rishab tries to console her, Karan mentions he would not have agreed had she not threatened to commit suicide, Preeta stops him saying today is Diwali so they should just focus on celebrating the event.
Dadi calls them all to come for the pooja, Shristhi also comes rushing a[apologizing for being late, Sameer asks if she has forgiven him but she instead moves away, the pooja starts and everyone starts performing it one by one when Karan moves ahead, Sonakshi immediately tries to go with him however Preeta stopping her exclaims this Pooja is only performed by the couples, Sonakshi gets jealous standing alone, she exclaims how she will very soon take the place of Preeta not only in the life of Karan but also this house and will then make Preeta pay for all that she has done, she will make sure Preeta sees hell in this house, Sameer and Shrishti also start performing the pooja alone when Sonakshi comes to take it however Shristhi hands it to Kritika who performs the pooja along with Sonakshi,. Kritika is really tensed, the Arti finally ends when the Pandit jee advises them to light all of the Diya’s in the house, Pihu is really excited to fire the crackers, Rakhi asks both Shristhi to go and help Pihu change her clothes.
Shristhi is going with Pihu and Sameer when Pihu exclaims that she doesnot know the Arti, Shristhi questions why would god punish her, Pihu exclaims they all were singing the Arti because they have learned it but she doesnot know it, Sameer exclaims she will never be punished however Sonakshi walking behind them mentions how she will be punished, Sameer informs Pihu that she is loved by god so he will not punish her, they both ask Pihu what prayer did she ask for, Pihu replies that her friend has sisters so she prayed to god that she also has a sister, Shristhi exclaims that sometimes what is not in the fate tends to happen by the prayers of the children, they both get excited exclaiming how she will surely wait for a miracle to happen, Shrishti mentions Pihu is really mischievous child and they should change the clothes, however Pihu says she doesnot want any help and will do it herself, she forcefully sends Shristhi away, Sonakshi standing outside the door think that she will make this Diwali the worst for Preeta and make her pay.
Preeta is lighting the Diya’s on the rooftop when she takes the thali, the Diya’s are about to end when karan immediately comes to help her, she thanks him but doesnot know why he is angry, she then asks what does he think of her dress, he pulling her closer exclaims she looks goof in every dress which she wears, Karan explains ti takes some time for him to get normal, Preeta questions then why is he angry, he doesnot explain anything to her, but when she insists he is about to reveal the news, the guests come calling them both so they get separated, they constantly look a each other.
Pihu is in her room when Sonakshi comes, Pihu asks her to leave as she needs to change her clothes, however Sonakshi asks what is the need since she looks really beautiful however Pihu replies that she needs to change because this is what her Grandmother said, Sonakshi replies now Preeta doesnot want her to change, she even shows her the gift which she brought for her so advises her to go and light the crackers, she helps her wear the shows before walking out the room.
Mahesh is with Rishab when Karan brings a guest, Mahesh greets him then questions where his wife is, he runs away exclaiming that he forgot to invite her inside, Mahesh advises him to run otherwise she will beat him, Mahesh hugs both Karan and Rishab mentioning they are his lions when Karan exclaims, he is the real lion. Karina and Dadi come questioning what is going on, Mahesh asks why she not told him about the happiness that a father feels with his son and how it pains him a lot more if his sons are in trouble. Dadi calls him a stupid person saying this feeling is felt and not something which is told, Mahesh exclaims he felt it which is why he is asking her why she not told him about it before, Karina worryingly looks at Kritika, Mahesh questions what happened, she asks them all to see how Kritika is so torn, she cannot watch her in such a condition. Rishab hugging her asks her to not be worried since they will always take care of her, Karina prays that nothing wrong ever happens to her loving family.
Pihu is playing in the house, Sonakshi stopping her advises her to go straight to her Preeta ma, she agrees so runs away, Pihu is going out of the house when Rishab stops her, he asks where is she going, she replies Mama has called her so runs away, Sonakshi coming from behind also acts of calling her, explaining she is lying because Preeta has not called her however she is going behind her as Pihu is young so someone should be with her, they all agree when Dadi asks why are they standing here because they should also fire the crackers, however Rishab replies no one would light any when Karina explains what she meant was that they should fire those of Shugun, Mahesh exclaims why does she need to fire them as she herself is cracker, Dadi exclaims he would always speak dirty, Mahesh questions what is wrong with it, she replies that she is his mother, Karan mentions she is a bomb, they all leave, Rakhi also asks Kritika to accompany them.
Shristhi is lighting the Diya’s when Sameer tries to help, she however ignores him when he questions why is she acting like this, Shristhi asks if she has hit him or tried to harm him, Sameer exclaims it is that she has not done anything with him even on the day of Diwali, he requests her to not stay angry with him anymore as he doesnot like it, Shristhi replies if he thinks she is feeling happy by staying angry and not talking with him but she doesnot have any chance, she leaves with the thali when Sameer tries to request her asking if it is necessary to fight on each and every matter.
Shristhi exclaims it is necessary because if she doesnot fight then he will walk around her with an attitude but now the role has reversed because he is trying to make it up to her, and not irritate her, he is trying to cheer her up as she is angry, does he know how she feels now, he asks when she replies she feels really nice, just like a princess, he asks if she is serious when she assures, he mentions this means she was acting of being angry with him, he tries to leave when she questions why is getting so angry because she has just taken some of his attention, Sameer asks if she has any idea how he was feeling since morning, she was not talking with him and was passing taunts, he turns to leave when she immediately hugs him tightly, she starts getting embarrassed after realizing what she has done, he turns towards her, she feels really embarrassed, starts to smile, she apologizes, he also accepts it, she says she has to go back to home because Maa and Janki aunti are alone so she has to leave because of the pooja, Sameer requests her to stay for some time, however she leaves panicking.
Preeta walking stops Pihu, asking where is she going running, Pihu exclaims she has crackers, Preeta asks her to show what kind of crackers does she have, Sonakshi coming from behind asks her to not worry about Pihu as she will always stay with her, so she can light her Diya, Preeta replies she has lit them when Sonakshi exclaims she can do some other work, Preeta sees the family arriving, she instructs Pihu to light the small crackers and not the big ones.
Preeta going aside calls Karan, Sonakshi turns to see them both, Sonakshi feels worried because her lie would be caught, she asks Pihu to stay here while she herself runs away, Pihu feels worried standing there.
Preeta takes the hand of Karan, asking him to come with her. Sonakshi comes back to Pihu explaining since everyone is coming outside so she should give the crackers to her and hands Pihu the other kind, Pihu laughs in excitement.
Preeta pulling Karan why does she feel he is angry with her, karan asks what it matters if he is angry with her. Pihu running to Rishab asks him to see the crackers which she will light. Preeta requests Karan to not be angry with her, he replies eh would be mad, Preeta explains that life is too short for the fights as who knows what will happen next, she explains that as time progresses they should not be worried thinking about the past when they both loved each other and could have given each other their love but were not able to, karan replies if she talks about another emotional thing, he would get so angry with her that he would not even listen to her if she tries to convince her, he turns to leave when she hugs him, he also feels emotional, Sonakshi however standing at the back is not able to bear the sight, she starts getting frustrated, karan and Preeta both still hug each other, karan also smiles, they both get away, Karan assures he is no longer angry with her, Preeta holds his face with a smile, they both are enjoying the presence of each other, Preeta rests her head on his chest, she corrects her jewellery, Sonakshi doesnot believe what she is seeing.
Pihu is enjoying lighting the crackers, Sonakshi sees her so she thinks what can she do as everyone is really enjoying, she sees the big crackers on the table, rushing to them she lights them beside Pihu who immediately covers her ears crying for help, every member of the Luthra family are shocked while Pihu is crying for help, Sonakshi starts crying for help, karan and Preeta rush to her while Pihu falls, they all pick her up, Preeta pushes the dupatta, Sonakshi exclaims she has gotten unconscious so anyone should call the doctor, the entire Luthra family is beside her, Rishab picks her up in his arms, they all rush with Pihu inside the Luthra mansion.
Preeta is holding Pihu in her arms while the doctor is applying the medicine, Karina comes assuring that Mahesh is fine and Kritika is taking care of her, Dadi asks the doctor if Pihu is fine, he replies that by looking at her it doesnot seem she ever got hurt because she has even taken his stethoscope and is playing with it, Preeta requests him to do another check-up, Sonakshi also insists that the doctor do another check-up, the doctor feels as if she is the real mother when Rishab explains that Preeta jee is her real mother, the doctor leaves.
Sonakshi exclaims she will take Pihu to her room when she acts as if her hand is burned, she thinks of she inflicted the burn so she can be able to get the praise from the Luthra family as now Preeta would be scolded, Sonakshi exclaims she is glad that Pihu is fine, Rishab asks Sherlin to take Pihu to her room when Preeta refuses but Dadi advises her to take Pihu as she wants to talk with Preeta.
Dadi asks Preeta why was she not able to take care of Pihu because she claims to be her mother yet she still was so irresponsible with her responsibility as a mother, Karina also scolds Preeta mentioning she has in reality failed as a mother, Rishab tries to request them all to not say anything wrong as it is Diwali, but they do not listen to him so he requests Rakhi to say something but she also replies that something wrong happened, when Karina questions why is she even now saying it so politely, she once again scolds Preeta which angers karan who asks them all to stay quiet as it is wrong, no one cares about pihu more then him and Preeta as they are her parents however Dadi asks him remain quiet, she thanks Sonakshi as because of her warning they managed to get to pihu in time, she orders Preeta to go to her room.
Sonakshi standing in the hall thinks how Preeta thought this would be the first Diwali of Pihu, but she has managed to ruin it for her so that everyone is now praising her, she is shocked to see Sherlin standing behind but she leaves without saying anything.
Preeta enters her room, she cries thinking of how Pihu was calling for help, she sitting down thanks god that nothing happened but exclaims if anything happened to Pihu tonight, she might not have been able to forgive herself as Pihu gave her a new life, Karan comes asking what happened, Preeta replies asking about what happened, Karan exclaims it was a small accident and she should not take what Dadi and Karina said, Preeta replies she never worries about what they say as they are the elders and can scold her but what might have happened as she is a small child, Karan exclaims it would only worry her if she keeps on thinking what might have happened, she should be glad that nothing happened. It was just a normal accident and even Pihu is fine, he hugs Preeta trying to console her, he exclaims she is a really good mother because she is so worried thinking what might have happened to Pihu, Preeta replies she doesnot feel good thinking what might have happened, karan exclaims Pihu would always remain her daughter just like he is of Rakhi, he advises her to go and meet Pihu, she agrees when Karan mentions he also wants to meet her. They both once again hug each other.
Prithvi is locked up in the jail cell with the constable standing guard in front of him, Prithvi after looking here and there, calls Mr Bhalla from behind requesting permission for just one phone call but the constable doesnot listen, Prithvi asks what is the problem as he will return the mobile and cannot even snatching as it is himself locked up, the constable warns him to go and sit at the corner, Prithvi asks why are they treating him like this because he has something which they all do not have, he can fill their pockets with money, he requests them to let him go as he will give them all, however the constable looks at him with anger, Prithvi in anger exclaims that his condition is because of Preeta, he curses her and his curse will make sure her life is in ruins, the constable questions why is he yelling as this has made it difficult to stand here. Prithvi exclaims today is Diwali and even wants to celebrate it and have fun, someone hands him a box of sweets, prithvi exclaims they have come to their senses. Sherlin requests him to forget that he is Prithvi Malhotra as he is jus a common man behind the cell, Prithvi agrees, and they both give each other the sweets. Sherlin assures she will talk with the lawyer tomorrow and get him freed, she explains how she should leave because no one should find out she came to meet him, she explains she will reveal a news as this will relax him, she explains how Pihu got hurt in the Diwali party and Preeta was scolded for it, Prithvi in excitement mentions it all happened for the good as Preeta wronged him.
Preeta along with Karan walk into the room of Pihu while she is sleeping, Preeta massages her forehead apologizing to Pihu as she got hurt because of her, Karan asks her to not be worried as it is a small injury and asks Preeta to come as they also should sleep, Preeta stands but then feels dizzy, Karan manages to catch her questioning what happened, he sees the hand of Preeta which is burnt, Karan calls Ganesh and Rishab but no one listens, he takes her out on his own while Sonakshi follows them, Sherlin thinks what has happened as Karan does not know that the condition of Preeta is because of Sonakshi, what does she have to do with any of it. Karan sitting in the back, request Sonakshi to drive fast as Preeta is unconscious, however she does not drive fast but then Karan once again insists, Sonakshi is forced to agree even when she does not want to, Preeta waking up questions where are they going, Karan replies that he is taking her to the hospital because she is ill and he needs to hear it from the doctors mouth that she is fine, otherwise he would not be relieved but Preeta insists there is no need since she needs to go back home however Karan insists on taking her to the hospital, Sonakshi also slows down the car which worries Karan and he asks Sonakshi to not listen to anything Preeta is saying as they are going to go to the hospital,
Precap: Karan and Preeta both are about to leave when Preeta is about to faint, Karan sees the burn on her hand. Sherlin wishes Prithvi happy Diwali in the jail, Sonakshi records their conversation. Karan calls Rishab while bringing Preeta in his arms.
