Wedding anniversary celebrations start at Shah house. Hasmukh and Leela get ready as Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi of Chandni movie for a photo session. Family are amazed to see them in that avatar. Anu performs their nazar. They both feel sad without Dolly and Jignesh’s presence. Dolly with Sanjay and Jignesh walk in. Leela happily hug Dolly and apologize to her and Sanjay. Jignesh jokes with Hasmukh why has he become Chandni movie’s Rishi Kapoor? Samar says its Bapuji’s wedding today. Jignesh jokes his sister is not that bad. Samar says Bapuji is marrying Baa. Jignesh jokes again that he thought Hasmukh is intelligent. They all laugh. Leela thank Anu for convincing Dolly and Jignesh.
Kavya get jealous seeing that and think Baa was breaking stuff at dance academy 3 days ago and now showering her motherly love on Anu, this family fights and forgets instantly, its unpredictable. Leela and Hasmukh’s photo session start. They make different poses. Vanraj apologize to Dolly. Dolly says she already forgave him as he is both her brother and father. Vanraj then apologize to Sanjay and says when he misbehaved with his sister, his wife snatched his house. Dolly says let it go, their togetherness is important. He says he will not. Family then sits for Leela and Hasmukh’s mehandi ceremony. Jignesh jokes when will didi sing qawwali. Family remind him that its their mehandi ceremony.
Dolly says both daughters/her and Anu will apply mehandi to their mother. Hasmukh ask who will apply mehandi to him as he wants his Leela’s name on his hands. Sanjay says his sons/him and Vanraj will. Jignesh asks about Rakhi. Leela says he forgets everything except nagin. Anuj and GK enter and greet them. Leela welcomes and thank them for accepting her invitation. She further apologize to them for humiliating them earlier and says she humiliated them in front of everyone and is apologizing to them in front of everyone; she learnt mistakes in childhood and learnt how to apologize in old age. GK says let us forget the past and move on. Leela says they are rich not only by wealth but also by values. She further says Anu’s friend is welcome in her house and lane and she will change an old mentality of not letting daughters having a male friend. Vanraj then thank them for attending his parents’ wedding anniversary and says he also believes in forgetting the past and moving on. Kavya get jealous noticing that and ask Vanraj if he will get Anu and Anuj married? Vanraj says he will if they are ready.
Anu remembers Leela’s words and tells Anuj that like family, her friends are also important for her; she is very happy that Baa invited them. Anuj says Mrs Shah is old fashioned, but is changing and adopting to new generation. Anu says Baa is stubborn, but can change for her children. Anuj says elders are great. He recites poem and try to explain its meaning. She stop him and says even she understands his poet now. Rose petals fall on them. She gets more happy. Hame Humse Hua Hai Pyar.. song plays in the background. Hasmukh and GK watch them and discusses what he told Anu. GK says he can’t believe oldie said this. Hasmukh says his thinking is progressive. GK says his son is a duffer and Hasmukh’s daughter is very innocent, its difficult to get them married, but they should try their best. They both joke with each other like old friends. Family then gathers for sangeet ceremony. Jignesh ask when will they sing qawwali. Hasmukh takes Samar along.
Leela and Hasmukh’s wedding anniversary celebration continues at Shah House. They all dance on Tumse Milke Dil Ka Ye Haal Kya Karen… song. Vanraj get a call and he ask to deliver packet only to him. Anu notices him. Kavya speaks to him, but he ignores her. Anuj imagines dancing with Anu. He gets someone’s call and think why did he/she call after so many years, anyways its Anu’s important day and he shouldn’t spoil it. After sangeet, Hasmukh feeds kheer to Leela and she feel shy. Mamaji joke. Anu offers kheer to Vanraj. Vanraj offers his bowl to Anuj and asksKinjal to bring another bowl for him. Anuj enjoys kheer. Vanraj says Anu prepares tasty kheer and asks how is his work going? Anuj says its good, Anu’s restaurant is his dream project. Vanraj says he will visit their restaurant for sure and will not create any drama. Anuj thank him. Kavya gets jealous seeing that and think Vanraj changed suddenly, he is going away from her and near Anu back again.
Samar tells family that he will prepare cold coffee for them all. Leela stop him and scolds Nandini to prepare it as men shouldn’t work in the kitchen. Anu asks why can’t boys work in the kitchen, there is no rule like that. Samar backs Anu and goes to prepare coffee. Nandini excitedly asks Baa and Bapuji if its their 50th wedding anniversary. Kavya asks why is she so excited? Nandini says protecting relationship for 50 years is a great achievement and asks them to give tips to she and Samar. GK says why relationships of their generation last long. Samar returns and says he can not prepare coffee as mixer is not working. Kavya says they should buy a new one. Bapuji says relationships of their generation worked long as they know how to refix things, so even a scooter used to work for 40 years. Kinjal says there is one more aspect to it, women were not independent and used to tolerate husband’s nonsense. Baa says they were taught same and even song used to be like Bhala hai bura hai jaisa bhi hai mera pati mera devta hai.. Anu says their lives used to end by understanding that husband is not a god but human.
Toshu comment that even wife is not a god but human, they glorify wife as Laxmi and devi; when husband is not god, even wife is not and if they are not compatible, they should divorce. Samar ask why should they think negatively, compatibility is in their hands; they have a 50-year-old arranged marriage, 25 year-old arranged marriage, a young love marriage, and a lovely young arranged marriage. Kinjal says for her, marriage is a buffet dinner where there is love, fights, arguments, etc., and it depends on them what they serve in their plate as there is love between fight somewhere and fight between love somewhere else. Vanraj look at Kavya hearing that.
Anuj add relationships break into bits daily and they have to refix them daily; they usually take in their partner for granted, earlier they love their company and later they try to avoid them, love is walking along and they should make sure their partner keeps smiling and like they preserve their precious jewelry, they should preserve their relationships. Jignesh ask how does he know when he is still unmarried? GK says he has seen many marriages.
Toshu says these words are good to hear and not practical, he feels one should think 100 times before taking a marriage decision. Vanraj says if they didn’t at the first time, they should for the second time. Pakhi says seeing all the marriages around her, she doesn’t want to get marry at all. Nandini asks why is she saying this? She says mummy and papa had an arranged marriage for 26 years and were not compatible, papa and Kavya had love marriage and fight everyday, Kinjal and Toshu had love marriage and even then fight everyday. Toshu suggest to Samar to think well before getting married.
Vanraj says MARRIAGE IS NOT WRONG, BUT MARRYING THE WRONG PERSON IS WRONG; when there is his and Anu’s example, there is also Baa and Bapuji’s example. Baa says they are together since 50 years. Kavya asks what kind of bonding is it, will Bapuji forgive Baa after what she did? Hasmukh says he can not over power Baa’s one mistake over their 50 years of love, even he must have made mistakes and she would have forgiven him, hence even he should forgive her mistakes as long as she accepts it. Anu says if they can not adjust, they should move on, etc. GK says he didn’t marry, but suggests Anuj to marry; he brought many alliances, but Anuj has... Jignesh says even he wants to comment and forgets. Hasmukh says marriage is a long journey where they get tired sometime and hence they should rest for sometime and keep on moving, they should keep their heart open and protect their trust.
Precap: After marriage, during family photo session, Kavya pulls Anu away and says she was an outsider during Anu’s marriage and now Anu is. Vanraj offers divorce papers to Kavya and says Baa and Bapuji’s remarriage has finished, its time for his breakup again.
