Anuj accepts that he loves Anupama since 26 years and would continue to love her until he is alive. He then says its a half truth; Anu doesn’t love him and its his one-sided love and he knows Anu will never love him; he lives for Anu and will die one day for her, he is just a friend for her, they should stop troubling her and spare her now; Anu is pious and her mistake is she loves them immensely; they got jealous seeing her success and when they couldn’t stop her, they started character assassinating her; does Vanraj deserve Anu’s love, does Baa deserve Anu praying to her like god, does Toshu deserve such a sacrificing and loving mother; he pray to Anu for her greatness and when Bapuji, Mamaji, Kinjal, Samar can see this, why can’t they see this; he learnt a lot sacrificing Anu, but they didn’t even after getting her; he loves Anu, but she only love them and they should change before its too late. Samar return and notices Anu hearing Anuj’s speech. Anu walk away senselessly. Samar follows her. Vanraj shouts at Anuj to get out. Anuj warn him that he was silent till now for the sake of friendship and will now stand up for the sake of friendship; if Vanraj has adamancy, he has madness and his madness will break his adamancy. Vanraj shouts to dare try and see. Anuj warn him that he will not tolerate their nonsense anymore and will not request them again. Vanraj shouts again to leave. Anuj leaves. He then realizes what he did and feels Anu will shatter hearing his confession.
Anu return home and remembers hearing Anuj’s confession.
Vanraj on the other side remembers Devika taking Anu to meet her past, their dance, standing up for each other, etc., and think he knew about it from before, then why is he bothered; he shouldn’t bother if Anuj love Anu or romances her.
Anuj get a panic attack and think he made a mistake and will not do another mistake to hide this mistake, so he should inform everything to Anu risking his friendship.
Kavya try to provoke Vanraj and vent out her frustration that Anuj love a middle aged woman who is not beautiful like her, it's good their affair is out, etc. Vanraj ask her to manage cafe with Mamaji for 2 days as he is going to Surat for a business meeting. She says it's her first diwali and she can not sacrifice it. He insists, she agrees and think she knows why he is going to Surat, she will finish her task before he returns.
On the other side, Samar walk to Anu and says what is wrong if Anuj loves her? Anu says Anuj is just her friend and try to leave. He hold her tightly. She break down.
Anuj walks on street remembering Anu taking his side against family. He sees 3 goons playing carrom and fighting and deciding to bear punishment for breaking Anu’s promise he provokes goons to hit him. They hit him at first but then run away saying he must have gotten mad in love. He cry rolling on road and shouting to kill him. Pyar Hai Ya Saza..song plays in the background. He remembers all the recent moments spent with Anu and returns home. GK gets concerned seeing his dilapidated state and asks what happened? He breaks down hugging GK and explains what happened.
Samar sees Anu calming down and ask if they can speak now? She sys no. He says things won’t get fine if they don’t speak.
Samar tell Anu that its awkward for a son to speak about this issue with his mother, but he has to. He says Anuj didn’t cross his limits either now or 26 years ago. Anu remembers all the moments spent with Anuj. Anu says he didn’t do right. He says even she had one-sided love with Mr Shah, even he had one-sided love with Nandini, was he also wrong; loving anyone without expressing it for years is penance and penance can never be wrong. He says Anuj loved her with 1000 times more intensity than she ever loved Mr Shah; she had a name for her love, but Anuj didn’t have any name or voice, even then she is saying Anuj’s love is wrong; Anuj got only loneliness, even then he didn’t write her name scare someone will read it; he thought she loved Mr Shah immensely, but Anuj’s love is more immense; Anuj’s love can not even be given example; he must not have sought his love from god or else god would have to accept his prayers.
Vanraj takes Baa’s blessings before leaving for Surat and warns Kavya not to argue with Bapuji in his absence. Kavya ask not to point at her. Vanraj asks Baa also not to trouble Bapuji in his absence. Toshu says he will take care of Bapuji. Kinjal walk away to her room. Toshu assures Baa that he will warn Kinjal that she has to break ties with Anu if she has to stay in this house. Baa curses Anu for Vanraj leaving house on diwali. Kavya says Anu had snatched half of their house, but they got it back with their smartness or else Anu would have moved in with Anuj here to taunt them; Anuj has money power and can do anything to them, so they should take back their karkhana soon. Baa agrees and says she will punish Anu and Anuj.
Samar says she herself says Anuj never misbehaved with her and would have even touched her by himself. Anu remembers flight and hotel incident where Anuj doesn’t let her touch him.
On the other side, Anuj regrets his confession at Shah house.
Samar continues that they did wrong to Anuj, but he did only good to them. Anu reminisce Anuj saving Samar and giving her a job. Samar give his oath and asks her if she felt even for a second that Anuj was wrong? She says no. He says Anuj expressed his love for her only now in 26 years just to protect her and must be angry on himself for breaking her trust and friendship; Anuj has a lot of money, but his one-sided love was his only wealth which he bet for her and got ready to sacrifice her to protect her; he loves her immensely as a son, but what Anuj did can never be replaced; Anuj’s love is like Radha Krishna’s love. Anu remembers the incidents.
Anuj tells GK that Anu must have found out everything by now via Kinjal and Baa must have humiliated her because of him; she must be angry on him and herself that she befriended and trusted him. GK says he should forget whatever happened and speak to Anu. Anuj asks how should he? GK says he broke Anu’s heart and she has right to punish him; Anu may get angry or forgive him, but he should speak to Anu.
Samar says love is not wrong and she doesn’t have right to point at it; if Anuj’s love for her is wrong, then Meera ji loving Kanha ji is wrong; she can leave her job and Anuj’s company, but doesn’t have any right to punish Anuj. He further says Samar and Nandini becomes SaNan, similarly Anupama and Anuj becomes MaAn; their relationship means MAAN/respect as Anuj respected her friendship, truth, and everything and its her turn now. He then walk away and pray to god to protect Anu and Anuj’s friendship. Anu remembers his words and all the incidents with Anuj. The next morning, she draws rangoli with a cheerful song playing in the background and then gets ready for work looking at MaAn hastag.
Precap: Anu thanks Anuj for loving her immensely and extends a friendship hand. He gets happy hearing that. Baa after a long dialogue insists Anu and Anuj to marry each other.
